To All,
August 1st, Summer is half over, our high adventure Scouts are back from Philmont Scout Ranch with lots of stories to tell, we had a great week at Camp OImsted this past July and are looking forward to an exciting Scout year coming up.
 
    Each year for the last twenty years we have helped C4 and the Colesville Presbyterian Church pack backpacks with school supplies for distribution to qualified children in the neighborhood.   Do to the facilities room at C4 not being available we will NOT be assisting with the packing this year.  It is being done on a grade by grade basis over a period of time by the sponsoring family.  
 
    In order to keep Scouting active in August we will hold a Scout Activity Day on Saturday August 17th.   Activities will include Tote & Chip,  Rank Advancement, Scout contests and a picnic.   Starts at 9 AM and will go to 3 PM.  We will meet in the SJB parking lot by the Trailer. 
Leaders, please let me know if you can make the date, Scouts too.
 
On Monday August 26th well will hold a troop gathering and new season kickoff meeting at 7 PM at the Lyon Center for Scouts and Leaders.
 
Our first official meeting will be on Monday September 9th at 7 PM in the Lyon Center.
