Fwd: Troop Newsletter

F or Y our I nformation .   The Troop has grown quickly and with it have come some new challenges.  Scouting is a volunteer organization, people join because they believe in the philosophy, they like the program or their parents want them to.  We have two hours a week to provide the Scouts with the guidance and framework for them to grow as persons and leaders.  We also have frequent campouts, (Camping is the Classroom of Scouting) where the Scout can practice his skills and apply them.  With the larger number of Scouts in the Troop the space where we hold our troop meetings seems to have shrunk.  A lot of active boys in a confined space can get chaotic and attention to the program sometimes suffers.  We expect the Scouts to behave and follow the Troop rules and guidelines, on the website,( www.Troop1441.com ) .  Teachers can always send their misbehaving students to detention, We can't.   In lieu of detention, if the Scouts behavior indicates he really doesn't want
