There was a Committee Meeting on Sunday 10/13, 6:45 PM at the usual location. Attendees were Mr Allen, Mrs. Hontz and Mr Wnek.  The troop needs active committee members to help support the Troop's "Journey to Excellence Program".  We look to the Committee members and Parents to assist with various aspects of the program and to help their sons succeed.  Please be on the lookout for Committee meeting announcements and plan to attend.

The Patrol Leadership Council Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 10/16 at 7 PM at SJB.

WEBELOS WEEKEND
Friday 10/25 through Sunday 10/27
Madison Fields Farm, 21355 Big Woods Road, Dickerson Md.
    The Troop will be participating in the event.  We will depart from ST John the Baptist parking lot at 6:30 on Friday evening and leave the Campground Sunday at 10 AM.
Parents will be needed as drivers to and from the event.
    The Scouts will be teaching Fire Building to Webelos Scouts and conducting the Fire Building Contests on Saturday.  As usual we have a come and go policy as you need.
    This Fall weather camping so Be Prepared.
    The fee for the event is $13.00 for the Scouts and Adults, payable to Troop 1441 BSA.
    Meals include Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Saturday and Breakfast Sunday (4 Meals) at a cost of $3.50 Per meal.  Total $14.00 Payable in cash to the Patrol Leaders.

Summer Camp Programs
The Council has opened registrations for Goshen, Camp Olmsted Summer Camp.  Troop 1441 will be attending the Week of July 5th through the 11th.   Early bird discounts are available at $385 until April 2020.
 
Our High Adventure Program for the Summer of 2020 will be the LEN HOK SIN Trail which is a 6 day backpacking event in the mountains around Goshen Scout reservation in Virginia.  It will be scheduled for the week (6/24-7/4) before summer camp or the week after (7/12 thru 7/18).  You must be 14 years old to participate, (or a First Class Scout, 13 and a half or better and Scoutmaster approval).  Registrations open 10/15, so let me know if you are interested.  Send me an e-mail with your week preference.
 
Youth Leader Elections
Postponed one week until the Troop meeting on October 28th.
The Troop will elect a Senior Patrol Leader and Patrol leaders.  Send me an e-mail if you wish to run.
