We need an opening with the Pledge and the Scout Oath. We need a closing with the Scout's Outdoor Code and the Scout Law. We also need scouts to commit to being in the gym after the 9 am mass from 10 am - Noon to promote our troop and sell the rest of our popcorn.  Boys need to bring any unsold popcorn to the church gymnasium at 10 am on Sunday. Scouts may attend even if their Dads can't make it. This year we will be sleeping in cabins Conowingo and Dan Beard at the Broad Creek Scout reservation Camp Saffran, Prospect Md.  The cabins are equipped with double decker Bunk beds and each cabin has space for 18 people.  The cabins are heated by wood stoves and have electricity.  Water is usually available from an all year stand pipe outside the cabin, this year the camp will be providing water at the HQ building. Each cabin will prepare its own menu and meal arrangements .  Special diets considered. Standard cost per meal per person, $3.50

To All We will hold our Fall Court of Honor this coming Monday 1/13 at the Troop Meeting.  Family and friends are encouraged to come and help your Scouts celebrate.   Parents are asked to bring food to share with the attendees.  Scouts,  If you think you are going to receive an Award(s), please e-mail me with what they are.    Klondike Derby is fast approaching (1/21-23/20) and the patrol leaders and patrol members should have most of their preparations underway including sled selection and fixing, if needed, gathering the equipment necessary to compete in the challenges.   A copy of the rules and requirements was sent out by e-mail last week. Perslip attached.   Arrow of Light Scouts are expected to visit a troop meeting this month,  we should prepare them a great welcome.  Dates to be confirmed.   Scout Sunday is scheduled for 5 PM Mass on Saturday 2/1 and 9 AM Mass on Sunday 2/2.  Come in Uniform for a Scout is Reverent and celebrate Scouting'
