Fwd: Troop 1441 Bulletin



To All
We will hold our Fall Court of Honor this coming Monday 1/13 at the Troop Meeting.  Family and friends are encouraged to come and help your Scouts celebrate.   Parents are asked to bring food to share with the attendees. 
Scouts,  If you think you are going to receive an Award(s), please e-mail me with what they are. 
 
Klondike Derby is fast approaching (1/21-23/20) and the patrol leaders and patrol members should have most of their preparations underway including sled selection and fixing, if needed, gathering the equipment necessary to compete in the challenges.   A copy of the rules and requirements was sent out by e-mail last week. Perslip attached.
 
Arrow of Light Scouts are expected to visit a troop meeting this month,  we should prepare them a great welcome.  Dates to be confirmed.
 
Scout Sunday is scheduled for 5 PM Mass on Saturday 2/1 and 9 AM Mass on Sunday 2/2.  Come in Uniform for a Scout is Reverent and celebrate Scouting's Birthday.
 
The Annual Father/Son Camp-in at BroadCreek Scout Reservation in northern Maryland is scheduled for February 21,22 and 23.   We were not able to book the Hauck Lodge this year and will be staying in two Cabins,  Dan Beard and Conowingo.  Fathers and sons will participate in Scout Challenges, Cook and eat,   and if we are lucky and have snow, sledding and snowboarding. Perslip attached.
 
Eagle Boards of Review.
Ezana Mekuanent and Chris Gamarro will report for their Eagle Boards of Review this Friday evening at the Colesville Presbyterian Church.  Good Luck to you both.

Date: 6/3/2019 9:41 AM (GMT-05:00) For your Attention JJW     Hello everyone, This is Ezana Mekuanent . On June 8th I will be having my Eagle Scout project for Habitat for Humanity ReStore . It will be located at 12006 Plum Orchard Dr, Silver Spring, MD 20904. At the moment this project is planned to only need one day's worth of work however if that changes another date will added (will be addressed in the future). The project consist of us constructing selfing unit inside of the ReStore center that will be used to display carpets. Due to the fact that we will be using drilling tools I will be needing the older scouts. `for those who plan to come please bring working gloves. We will be providing water and food.
