To All
Two months and we are still social distancing, at least some of us are, and it looks like it will be a while before we will be able to get together in large groups and go camping.  Summer camp has been closed so we don't have that to look forward to.  Scouting is too great a program to let go inactive so we are using the technologies available to us to keep moving ahead.  We will continue with the weekly Zoom Troop meetings, conduct rank advancement opportunities, hold Patrol meetings, SMCs  and ceremonies.  We will get back to camping eventually, when it is safe.  There is more to come with this Virus.

Camp refunds
The NCAC Council has stated that they will refund the fees paid for camp if it is closed because of the Virus,  IT has been closed.  To get a refund you will have to fill out a Request for Refund  and submit it the Council. Instructions below.

Winter Court of Honor
Monday 5/18, 2020 over Zoom, 7:30 pm until 8 PM.  Scouts will be recognized for their achievements by the SPL and ASPL.  The actual awards and patches will be mailed to the recipients.  We would like all parents, friends and family to join us for the ceremony.  Once the Ceremony is over  the Troop will continue with its semi-annual election. Those not involved may drop off at this time.

Semi-Annual Troop Election.  Monday 5/18/20, 8 PM
Every six months the troop holds an election for Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and Patrol leaders..  It is a secret Ballot.

This SPL election will be conducted by having each voter sending an E-mail  containing the name of their choice for SPL to an independent Committee Member who will tabulate the votes.  A candidate must win the most votes including, (fifty percent plus one vote), to be elected, if no one receives 50% of the vote plus 1, a runoff will be held by the two top vote receivers.

To the Candidates, be prepared tonight to speak to the Troop about your candidacy, how you will serve the troop.
