GENERAL
July 27th, while some had hoped to be long done with this Virus it is still here and re-surging. 
Hopefully no family in the troop has any serious problems dealing with it.   If you have, please let me know.  The best defense at this time is still wearing a mask and social distancing.  Don't be lulled into thinking anyone is safe. 
Scouting is an outdoor activity and scouts need the room to learn and grow. It seems that the Backyard is still the place where things cam happen, BSA has approved the Backyard camping nights can be used for rank requirements.  But, only until September 1st.  We will be scheduling 2 more backyard camping events in August, see schedule below.

National BSA and the Council have developed a number of on line activities to assist the scouts with learning and fun, see below for choices.

ADVANCEMENT
Zachary Robinson has earned his Tenderfoot rank at a Board of Review on Friday, July 24th.  Congratulations Zachary and thanks to Mr Jacob, Mrs Toll and Mrs Kassman for serving on the Board of Review.  Xavier Felix has had his SMC for 2nd Class and is awaiting his Board of Review.

SCHEDULE
We have been conducting Monday night meetings for 4 months now and will take a vacation for two weeks so no troop meetings on August 3rd and 10.  This does not eliminate Patrol meetings and Patrols are expected to continue with their plans. We will get back together on August 17th for our next Troop meeting.

If you are working on your physical fitness requirements using the tracking sheet provided 2 weeks ago we will have our first Zoom Checkpoint meeting on Thursday the 30th of July at 6 PM.
