Summer camp signups are underway and we need to know which scouts will be going to Camp Olmsted and the Len hok Sin Trail Adventure. To qualify for the discounted price you must pay by 4/13 troop meeting.  Scouts $385, Adults $225.

Winter Court of Honor Coming up April 6th, only a few weeks left to complete some requirements.

Mulch Sale coming April 4th.  New this year, bags are 1/3 smaller, easier to work with. will require some adjustments.  Stayed tuned.

3/2/20 Troop Meeting , 7 PM, Lyon Center,  Special Drugs and Alcohol prevention presentation.

3/9/20 Troop Meeting 3/9, 7 PM, Lyon Center,  Premier Showing of Troop 1441 Summer Camp,                 2019 by ASM Axel Anderson, Parents invited.

3/10/20   PLC MEETING, Tuesday 7:30 PM, SJB, Board of Review Room.
3/11/20 Chess Tournament Wednesday, 3/11, Lyon Center, 7 to 9 PM.  Mr Piety.  for those Scouts             taking Chess Merit Badge.

3/11/20 District Round Table, Wednesday 3/11, Peoples Community Baptist Church, Norwood                       Road.  7:30 PM, For Scout Leaders.


3/14 and 3/15 Basic Orienteering Class,1:00-4:30 PM at the
            Catoctin Mountain Park Visitor Center
            14707 Park Central Rd.
            Thurmont, MD 21788
            You must call to register, space is limited    301-663-9388
             Offers a 10 point orienteering trail about 1.5 miles
            You can also do this trail on your own from Nov 1 to April 15
            Will fulfill some requirements for 2nd class and 1st class "navigation"
            You may go as a civilian, no uniform with your parents.
            If you go as Scouts you will need to Leaders to accompany you and be in Class "A's".

3/15/20 LIFE TO EAGLE SEMINAR, Montgomery Medstar Hospital, Prince Phillip Rd, Olney
            from 1 to 4 PM.  For all Life Scouts contemplating advancement to Eagle Scout, Leaders                 and parents.  To register send an E-mail to WhiteOakAdv@Aol.com and include the names             and contact information of the attendees.

3/16/20 Troop Meeting, 7 to 9 PM, Lyon Center.

3/21/20    District Pinewood Derby.  Troop 1441 will be assisting with the Derby by operating a pseudo derby for the younger siblings of the Cubs.  Scout volunteers are needed.  Let me know if you can make it.  Service Hours.

3/23/20  Troop Meeting, 7 to 9 PM, Lyon Center.

3/28/20    Service Project - "Rise Against Hunger" at the Colesville Presbyterian Church from 8 AM  to Noon.  Class "A", Service Hours.

3/30/20    Troop Meeting, 7 to 9 PM, Lyon Center.

4/4/20        MULCH SALE, Saturday, 8 AM until 5 PM, SJB parking lot.

4/6/20        Troop Meeting, 7 to 9 PM, SJB Lyon Center. Winter Court of Honor.

MAY EVENTS
The Montgomery County Master Gardeners are holding its annual Grow It Eat It event this year on May 2nd at the Agricultural History Farm Park located at 10810 Muncaster Mill Rd, Derwood MD.

The event is open to the public and includes programs for Cub Scouts as well as the Gardening Merit Badge for Boy Scouts.  Boy Scout participants are given flower and vegetable seedling plants to take home to grow and plus additional seeds to propagate.  They also receive a complete composting kit to take home.

Date: 6/3/2019 9:41 AM (GMT-05:00) For your Attention JJW     Hello everyone, This is Ezana Mekuanent . On June 8th I will be having my Eagle Scout project for Habitat for Humanity ReStore . It will be located at 12006 Plum Orchard Dr, Silver Spring, MD 20904. At the moment this project is planned to only need one day's worth of work however if that changes another date will added (will be addressed in the future). The project consist of us constructing selfing unit inside of the ReStore center that will be used to display carpets. Due to the fact that we will be using drilling tools I will be needing the older scouts. `for those who plan to come please bring working gloves. We will be providing water and food.
